Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around Gibson’s angular 1957 Futura design, this reissue pairs a two-piece mahogany body with a substantial ’50s Vintage mahogany neck and unbound Indian rosewood fingerboard. Its two unpotted CustomBucker Alnico 3 humbuckers are arranged for open, responsive PAF-style sounds, with separate volume controls for shaping the pickup blend. Antique Natural nitrocellulose lacquer, gold VOS hardware, and the split-V headstock give it the appearance and layout of an early Modernist-era Gibson.
