Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around Gibson’s asymmetrical Flying V outline, this Antique Natural reissue pairs a mahogany body and maple top with two uncovered '70s Tribute Burstbuckers. The bridge pickup is slightly overwound, while the neck pickup is voiced warmer, giving the two-pickup layout distinct roles. A SlimTaper mahogany neck, medium-jumbo frets and bound rosewood fingerboard put fast runs, wide bends and involved chord work within reach. Its shaped body is intended for comfortable playing both seated and standing.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Rock-focused rehearsals and sets that call for crunch, lead lines, and two contrasting humbucker voices.
- Players moving between seated practice and standing performance with an asymmetrical Flying V body.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players; this is a right-handed model.
