01Will this work as a guitar output jack?
It's a panel-mount amp jack, not the barrel type most guitars use. It only fits a guitar if the body has a flat jack plate and enough depth.
02Is this switched?
It's a mono jack, so it carries tip and sleeve only. If your amp uses a switching jack to mute or reroute when unplugged, this won't replicate that.
03Do I need to solder?
Yes. The existing wires desolder from the old jack and reattach to the new one. Amps carry stored voltage, so discharge before working.
04Fender amps only?
No. It's a standard 1/4" panel jack and fits most amps with a matching chassis hole, regardless of brand.
