Single direct-mount EVH Wolfgang bridge humbucker
The active pickup is positioned at the bridge and mounts directly to the body.

Independent shopping perspective
The EVH Frankenstein Relic Series pairs a relic-finished basswood Stratocaster body with a direct-mount EVH Wolfgang humbucker in the bridge position. Its neck single-coil is nonoperational, and the electronics are deliberately direct: one master-volume control with no pickup switch. A quartersawn maple neck, maple fingerboard, 22 jumbo frets, and 12–16-inch compound radius shape the playing surface. The Floyd Rose locking tremolo and D-Tuna support wide pitch effects and quick drop-D changes, while the included gig bag covers transport.
