Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Built around a basswood body and quilted maple top, the 5150 Series Deluxe QM pairs clear attack with a focused high-gain voice. Its graphite-reinforced, quartersawn baked maple neck has a modified C profile, satin back, 22 jumbo frets, and a 12–16 inch compound-radius fingerboard for chord work, bends, and faster passages. Dual Wolfgang Alnico 2 humbuckers, a three-way switch, treble-bleed volume control, fixed-feel tone control, and kill switch keep the layout direct. The Floyd Rose system and D-Tuna add dive, pull-up, vibrato, and drop-D control.
Strong match

- Live sets that move between standard tuning and drop D without interrupting the performance.
- Players using high-gain rhythm parts, lead lines, volume swells, and rhythmic kill-switch effects.
