Three-piece maple neck
The neck uses a three-piece maple construction.

Independent shopping perspective
Built for a specific active-humbucker workflow, the ESP HEX-6 combines a mahogany body with a three-piece maple neck and unmarked Macassar ebony fingerboard, apart from its special 12th-fret inlay. Its 24 extra-jumbo frets and Black Satin finish give the guitar a focused visual identity. Direct-mounted Fishman Fluence Modern Humbuckers use an alnico version at the neck and ceramic version at the bridge; the push-pull volume control selects among their multiple voices. A TonePros locking TOM string-through-body bridge, LTD locking tuners, black chrome hardware, and ESP deluxe hardshell case complete the package.
