Detail 01
EMG 89R neck pickup
Its reversed coils keep the single-coil side closer to the neck, and its push-pull control splits the pickup.

Independent shopping perspective
GH-SV is a right-handed, 24.75-inch-scale solidbody with a neck-through build, an asymmetrical SV body, and flat front and back surfaces. Its three-piece thin-U mahogany neck carries 22 extra-jumbo stainless-steel frets on a Macassar ebony fingerboard. Direct-mount active pickups pair an EMG 89R at the neck with an EMG 81 at the bridge. The 89R uses reversed coils and a push-pull split control, while a double-locking Floyd Rose 1000 handles the tremolo system.
