EpiphoneLes Paul Special Double Cut Figured Electric Guitar - Bourbon Burst

Taking the familiar feel of the Les Paul Special in a more refined direction, the Epiphone Les Paul Special Double Cut Figured pairs classic double-cut design with a modern humbucker voice. As part of Epiphone’s Inspired by Gibson collection, this model builds on the early Special formula with a slab mahogany body, a fast SlimTaper set neck, and a bound rosewood fingerboard that supports confident, comfortable playability. A AAA figured maple veneer adds visual depth, while a pair of ProBucker humbuckers replaces the traditional P-90 setup, expanding the guitar’s tonal range for contemporary playing styles. ProBucker Humbuckers Deliver Expanded Tonal Range This double-cutaway Special is equipped with a ProBucker 2 in the neck position and a hotter ProBucker 3 in the bridge. Both pickups use Alnico magnets to produce clear, balanced output with the warmth and definition associated with classic humbuckers. Individual volume and tone controls for each pickup, paired with a three-way toggle switch, allow smooth transitions from clean rhythm sounds to thicker, more sustaining lead tones. SlimTaper Neck and Double-Cut Body Support Fluid Playability The mahogany neck features a 60s SlimTaper profile that feels fast and comfortable, helping reduce fatigue during extended sessions. A bound rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and acrylic dot inlays supports smooth bends and quick position changes. The double-cutaway body design provides easy access to the upper frets, making lead work and extended runs feel natural. Direct Controls Keep Tone Shaping Straightforward The control layout remains simple and familiar with two volume and two tone knobs alongside a three-way selector. This setup makes pickup blending intuitive and allows quick adjustments during a performance without complicating the signal path. Black top hat knobs are easy to grip and positioned for fast changes on the fly. Quality Materials and Hardware Support Reliable Performance A mahogany body and set neck contribute warmth and sustain, while the AAA figured maple veneer and binding add visual definition. LockTone Tune-O-Matic and Stop Bar hardware help maintain stable intonation, and Grover Rotomatic tuners support consistent tuning through repeated string changes. A Graph Tech nut further reinforces tuning stability. A Refined Take on the Les Paul Special The Epiphone Les Paul Special Double Cut Figured is designed for players who want classic feel with added tonal flexibility. Its humbucker configuration, fast neck, and upgraded appointments make it well suited for rehearsals, recording, and live performance. As part of the Inspired by Gibson collection, it connects to a historic design while emphasizing accessibility, playability, and real-world value. Lastly, a premium gig bag is included so you’re ready to take it wherever your music leads.
