The Korena take
Elektron’s Analog Four MKII is a four-voice desktop analog synthesizer built around four synth tracks and a hands-on sequencing workflow. Each voice combines two analog VCOs, sub-oscillators, dual filters, envelopes, and two LFOs for detailed sound shaping. Its sequencer supports 64-step patterns, real-time recording, parameter changes on individual steps, trig conditions, and song mode. Individual track outputs support multitrack recording, while MIDI, CV/Gate, DIN sync, and external inputs place it comfortably in a hardware-oriented setup.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Writing changing electronic patterns with parameter movements recorded directly into individual sequencer steps.
- Routing four synth voices separately for multitrack recording through the four dedicated 1/4-inch track outputs.
- Controlling modular systems, vintage analog instruments, synths, or drum machines through CV/Gate, DIN sync, and MIDI.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Arrangements requiring more than four simultaneous analog voices; the instrument has four-voice analog polyphony.
