01Will this fit my trombone?
Only if your instrument takes a large shank. Large-bore tenor and bass trombones generally do. Small-shank horns need the small-shank equivalent, such as the 6BS.
02How is this different from the 5AL?
The 4.5AL has a slightly larger cup (25.85mm vs 25.73mm), a noticeably wider rim (6.80mm vs 6.64mm), and a slightly narrower throat. Wider rim, more endurance.
03Is it good for high notes?
It is built for a big, full sound rather than a high register. For crisp, clear top end, the 6BL's narrower throat and V-backbore are aimed at that.
04Can I use this on bass trombone?
It has the large shank bass trombones use, but at 25.85mm the cup is on the smaller side for bass work. The 1AL or 0AL go larger.
