01What's the difference between the 3B and the plain 3?
Same 16.75mm cup diameter and 5.05mm rim. The 3B uses a V-type backbore and a tighter 4.27mm throat, so it plays more focused and brilliant than the darker, free-blowing 3.
02Can I use this on a trumpet?
No. Cornet and trumpet shanks are different sizes, so it won't seat properly in a trumpet receiver.
03Is this a good step up from a stock mouthpiece?
It's a specific choice, not a general upgrade. Pick it if you want a tighter, brighter high register. If you want more openness and warmth, look at the open-backbore models.
04Will it help my high notes?
