01What's the difference between the 3 and the 4?
The 4 is smaller across the cup at 16.4mm with a wider 5.27mm rim and a deep, rich tone. The 3 is wider and freer-blowing, still dark but more open.
02Will this fit my trumpet?
No. It's a cornet mouthpiece with a cornet shank. It won't seat properly in a trumpet leadpipe.
03Is the 3 good for brass band?
It suits it well — the dark tone and stability sit inside a section rather than over it. For solo cornet lead lines you may want the more focused 3B.
043 or 3B?
Same 16.75mm cup and 5.05mm rim. The 3B has a tighter 4.27mm throat and a V backbore, giving a brighter, more focused high register with more resistance.
