Only if it takes a large shank — most large-bore tenors and bass trombones do. Student and small-bore jazz horns take a small shank, so you'd want the 5BS.
02What's the difference between the 5ABL and the 5AL?
Same 25.73mm cup diameter. The 5AL has a deeper cup and barrel backbore for symphonic projection; the 5ABL uses a medium backbore aimed at high-register ease with a rich tone.
03Is this a good jazz or lead mouthpiece?
It handles lead work on a large-bore horn, but Denis Wick's jazz-oriented models — the 12CS and 9BS — are small shank and won't fit a large-bore receiver.
04Does the gold change the sound?
It changes feel more than tone. Gold sits smoother and warmer against the lip, which affects grip and comfort over a long session.
