The Korena take

Denis Wick’s gold Heritage Series 5BS is a small-shank mouthpiece built around a 25.73 mm cup, 6.64 mm rim, 6.87 mm throat and medium backbore. It is designed to give a smaller-bore trombone large-bore-instrument qualities while maintaining a brilliant, solid upper register. The Heritage configuration adds mass near the throat and backbore, then uses thinner upper walls to keep the response sensitive at softer dynamics and aid upper-register articulation.
