Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Dan O. Cool is the six-string DANO model for players who want Lipstick-pickup brightness with more output into a pedal-based rig. Its hotter 1950s-spec neck and bridge pickups retain the quick, open response associated with this design while giving fuzz, overdrive, compression, and modulation more signal to work with. The hardboard top and back sit on a solid spruce frame for a lightweight build. A bolt-on hard maple C neck, rosewood board, and 25-inch scale keep the playing platform straightforward for rhythm and lead work.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Running fuzz, overdrive, compression, and modulation from a pedal-heavy alternative guitar rig.
- Tracking bright rhythm parts and jangly lead lines with increased Lipstick pickup output.
