Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The Premier SS brings a single-cutaway semi-hollow design together with laminated maple construction, two large f-holes, and a slimline centerblock. That centerblock is described as managing feedback while adding clarity and sustain. Two D’Angelico humbuckers connect to a three-way toggle and independent neck/bridge volume and tone controls, giving you a direct way to balance the warmer neck pickup against the more articulate bridge unit. A set maple C neck and 22-fret walnut fingerboard complete this right-handed Surf Green model.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Jazz-to-rock guitar parts where the two pickups need to be deliberately blended.
- Rehearsals where semi-hollow feedback needs control while retaining airy, open tone from the body.
- Upper-register chord and solo work made accessible by the single-cutaway body design.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players who require a left-handed electric guitar.
- Players who prefer solidbody construction rather than a semi-hollow guitar.
- Users looking for a non-humbucker pickup configuration.
