No. MIDI sends performance data — which notes, how hard, when. Sound travels over separate audio cables from your keyboard's audio outputs.
02Can I use this with a USB MIDI keyboard?
Only if the keyboard also has 5-pin DIN MIDI jacks. USB-only controllers connect to a computer over USB and won't accept this cable.
03Which end goes where?
Both ends are identical. What matters is the jacks: plug into MIDI Out on the sending device and MIDI In on the receiving one.
04Do I need two of these?
One cable sends in one direction. If you want the two devices to send data both ways, you need a second cable running the opposite path.
