No. Speaker cable is unshielded, so it picks up hum and noise on an instrument-level signal. Use a proper instrument cable between guitar and amp.
02What happens if I use an instrument cable to my cab instead?
The thin conductor and shielded design can't handle amp output current. It may overheat, fail, and on a tube amp take the output transformer with it.
03Is 5 feet long enough for a half stack?
For a head sitting on top of the cab, yes, with a little slack. If the head is in a rack or the cab is offset, get a longer one.
04Does it work with bass amps and PA cabinets?
Yes, anywhere a 1/4 in. speaker connection is used. Just match the connector type your amp and cabinet actually have.
