01Does the Super Kick II need a pillow inside the drum?
No. The felt muffle ring built into the head handles most of the damping. Adding a pillow on top will deaden the kick further, which may be more control than you want.
02Is this the batter head or the front head?
It is a batter head, mounted on the side you strike with the pedal beater. You still need a separate front resonant head for the other side.
03How is it different from the single-ply Super Kick?
This is the two-ply version. The extra layer of film means shorter sustain, fewer overtones and more durability under a hard beater.
04Will a 22 in. head fit my 22 in. bass drum?
