Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Yamaha’s EAD50 is a drum-miking and trigger system centered on the DSU50 stereo sensor unit and SWX100 sound engine. The DSU50 mounts at the bass-drum hoop to capture the kit in stereo while providing a kick-trigger signal for layering electronic or sampled sounds. Start with that streamlined capture, then expand through five XLR mic inputs, up to 10 triggers, and multiple balanced outputs. LED rotary faders, Kit Modifier knobs, Live Set recall, USB audio, Bluetooth, and SD-card playback make it adaptable for rehearsals, recording, stage routing, and sharing performances.
