Yamaha9400 SFZ Piccolo Marching Snare Drum 14 x 9 in. Blue
Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Finished in blue, the 9400 SFZ Piccolo uses a 14 x 9 in. maple shell for Yamaha’s shorter-depth marching-snare option. The shell sits 3 inches below the standard-model depth, providing a lightweight instrument with strong snare response. Anodized hardware covers the top and bottom hoops, and the drum uses low-mass lugs. Field testing and evaluations with DCI and WGI performing groups and artists informed a design intended for director and player requirements, with presence and projection retained.
