No. These are cut for Bb soprano clarinet. Bass clarinet takes a longer, wider reed and these will not cover the mouthpiece window.
02Is 2.5 too soft for a high schooler?
It depends on the mouthpiece, not the grade level. On a close-facing student mouthpiece 2.5 is common; on an open facing it may feel loose and buzzy.
03How long does a box last?
With daily playing and four reeds in rotation, a box typically covers several months. Reeds wear out from playing time, not shelf time.
04Should I go to strength 3 instead?
Move up only if 2.5 feels resistance-free and your tone spreads or the high register goes flat. Otherwise you will fight the reed.
