If you are under a couple of years in, or you tire within an hour, yes. Strength 5 assumes a developed embouchure and steady air support.
02Will these work on my alto?
No. These are cut for tenor. Alto reeds are shorter and narrower and are not interchangeable.
03How long does one reed last?
Depends on playing hours and humidity. Rotating through all five rather than playing one every day extends the life of the whole box.
04Do I need to soak them first?
Wet the reed before playing so the cane seals against the mouthpiece. A dry reed plays thin and warps faster.
