01Will this fit my alto sax?
No. This is a tenor mouthpiece. The shank diameter and chamber are cut for a tenor neck. Vandoren makes separate alto pieces.
02What reed strength should I use?
Most players step down about half a strength when moving to a more open tip like the 75. Try one softer than your current reed first.
03Does it come with a ligature?
No. Mouthpiece only. You will need a tenor ligature and cap, and your current one may not fit the body correctly.
04Is this too much mouthpiece for a first upgrade?
It is a pro-level piece. If your embouchure is still settling, a closer tip is easier to control and cheaper to learn on.
