02Will these fit an alto sax?
No. Soprano reeds are noticeably smaller. You need alto reeds for an alto mouthpiece.
03How long does a reed last?
Depends entirely on hours played and how you store it. Rotating several reeds and drying them flat between sessions makes each one last much longer.
04Do I need to soak them first?
Wet the reed before playing so the cane swells evenly and seals against the mouthpiece. A dry reed plays stuffy and warps faster.
