Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
EG-3 Standard is a right-handed, full-scale electric guitar in a compact 30-inch format. The 25.5-inch scale preserves the fret spacing and string tension familiar to players moving from a standard electric, while the poplar T-style body and bolt-on maple neck keep the design straightforward. A lipstick single-coil at the neck and a bridge single-coil are selected with a three-way switch, with volume and tone controls for adjustment. Its standard 1/4-inch output and included gig bag support travel, practice, and rehearsal use.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Travel and home practice with a 30-inch guitar that retains a 25.5-inch scale length.
- Connecting a passive two-single-coil electric guitar to an amp, pedal chain, or recording gear.
- Moving between home, rehearsal, and travel with the included gig bag for protection.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players; this is a right-handed guitar.
- Players seeking a bridge setup other than the fixed bridge.
- Guitarists who need a pickup layout other than the two single-coil configuration.
