01Will this fit a 3/4 cello?
No. It is cut for 4/4. A fractional cello needs the size-matched version or the winding will not sit correctly at the nut and tailpiece.
02What is the difference between tungsten and the plain Spirocore C?
Tungsten is denser, so the string is thinner at the same pitch. That gives quicker response and a more focused low end than the standard winding.
03Do I need a fine tuner for this string?
It helps. Steel-core strings move very little for a given peg turn, so a fine tuner on the tailpiece makes fine adjustment much easier.
04Is stark gauge harder to play?
It takes more bow weight and left-hand pressure than medium. The payoff is more volume and projection. Medium is the safer choice if you are unsure.
