TaylorNext Generation PS54ce Grand Auditorium 12-String Acoustic-Electric Guitar - Shaded Edge Burst

Expansive shimmer and orchestral depth converge in the PS54ce Next Generation Grand Auditorium, a flagship-level 12-string showcasing the pinnacle of Taylor artistry and acoustic innovation. Built with an Adirondack spruce top and Honduran rosewood back and sides, this Presentation Series instrument delivers deep piano-like lows, lush overtones and brilliant high-end sparkle that remain focused even under a strong attack. Taylor’s scalloped V-Class bracing enhances sustain and pitch consistency so each paired string rings with exceptional balance. The long-tenon Action Control mahogany neck adds tonal warmth and allows fast, precise setup adjustments, while a genuine West African ebony fingerboard ensures smooth playability. The all-new Claria pickup system faithfully captures the guitar’s complex 12-string voice with impressive clarity for stage and studio performance. Elegant details—including an Indian rosewood pickguard and California Vine inlay suite in mother-of-pearl and paua—complete an elevated experience that pairs luxurious craftsmanship with Taylor’s modern acoustic design. Adirondack Spruce and Honduran Rosewood for Power, Depth and 12-String Clarity An Adirondack spruce top forms the tonal engine of the PS54ce, prized for its exceptional headroom and dynamic range. Adirondack spruce responds beautifully to the energy of a 12-string, maintaining clarity and articulation even under powerful strumming. Paired with Honduran rosewood back and sides, the guitar develops deep, resonant lows, complex mids and sparkling highs that sustain with remarkable richness. Taylor’s scalloped V-Class bracing with a relief rout helps organize the instrument’s resonance, extending sustain and improving pitch accuracy so the paired strings remain clear and balanced across the fretboard. Neo-Tropical Mahogany Neck and Ebony Fingerboard for Comfortable 12-String Playability A neo-tropical mahogany neck carved to Taylor’s standard profile offers a comfortable feel that supports extended 12-string playing without fatigue. The genuine West African ebony fingerboard provides a smooth surface and crisp note articulation, helping the guitar’s rich harmonic voice remain clear and controlled. Taylor’s Long-Tenon Action Control Neck strengthens the neck-to-body connection while allowing players to adjust string height quickly and precisely without removing the neck or loosening the strings. Taylor Claria Pickup System for Clear, Balanced Amplified Tone The Claria pickup system captures the PS54ce’s rich 12-string voice with impressive clarity and balance. A refined undersaddle design paired with a proprietary preamp smooths the harshness often associated with traditional piezo pickups while maintaining excellent dynamic sensitivity. Soundhole-mounted controls include volume and a versatile Mid-Contour knob, allowing players to shape their amplified tone easily for both solo performance and full-band settings. Presentation Series Appointments With California Vine Inlays and Ebony Armrest The PS54ce reflects Taylor’s Presentation Series pedigree through elegant visual details and premium comfort features. The intricate California Vine inlay suite crafted from mother-of-pearl and paua winds across the genuine West African ebony fingerboard and headstock, adding a signature visual flourish. Ebony binding and a Shaded Edgeburst finish highlight the dramatic grain of the Honduran rosewood body. A radius ebony armrest enhances comfort during long sessions, while Gotoh 510 antique gold tuners with matching buttons provide smooth, precise tuning stability. A Flagship 12-String Built for Power, Elegance and Performance With its Grand Auditorium body design, Adirondack spruce top, Honduran rosewood body and refined scalloped V-Class architecture, the Next Generation PS54ce offers the power and harmonic richness that define a great 12-string while maintaining Taylor’s trademark clarity and balance. Elegant Presentation Series appointments, Claria electronics and a modern neck design elevate the playing experience with both visual artistry and a thoughtful, player-focused approach.
