Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Taylor's Next Generation 614ce is a right-handed Grand Auditorium acoustic-electric built with a torrefied Sitka spruce top and figured big leaf maple back and sides. Scalloped V-Class bracing with a relief rout supports the guitar's clear, separated-note presentation and sustain. The long-tenon Action Control neck allows precise string-height changes without taking off the neck or slackening the strings. Claria electronics provide onboard volume, Mid-Contour, and tone controls for amplified use.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Fingerstyle passages and complex chords where clear note separation is useful.
- Players who need onboard controls for amplified stage or studio work.
- Making precise string-height adjustments without removing the neck or loosening strings.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Left-handed players; this model is specified as right handed.
