Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Suhr’s Hombre is an 18W tube amplifier head centered on Normal and Bright channels, each with straightforward Volume and Tone controls. Its tube-biased tremolo has Speed and Intensity controls and responds differently as notes are played and decay, giving the effect an active role in the performance. An effects loop and two speaker outputs broaden how it can be arranged in a stage or studio rig. The supplied single-button footswitch switches the tremolo; a speaker cabinet is a separate purchase.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Electric-guitar setups that use a separate speaker cabinet with an 18W tube amplifier head.
- Performances that need foot-controlled tube-biased tremolo on either Normal or Bright inputs.
- Stage or studio rigs that place effects through the amplifier’s effects loop.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players who need an amplifier with a speaker cabinet included.
