Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Suhr’s Badger 35 is a single-channel all-tube amp head with Power and Drive controls alongside Bass, Middle, and Treble. Its footswitchable MOSFET boost supplies up to 26 dB of transparent gain for a solo lift or extra chord thickness and sustain. Power scaling lowers voltage to the output section, while Drive compensates for the changed setting to retain tone and feel. A tube-driven, buffered series effects loop with level control accommodates pedals and rack units.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Recording or smaller stages where the power-scaling circuit provides lower-volume operation.
- Using the guitar volume control to move the single channel from clean to overdrive.
