SpectorIcon NS-5 Bolt-On 5-String Electric Bass Guitar - White Gloss

The Spector Icon NS-5 Bolt-On 5-string electric bass guitar expands upon the legendary NS design with commanding low-end power and modern playability. Built on nearly five decades of Spector craftsmanship, this striking instrument combines a contoured alder body with a bolt-on three-piece rock maple neck for punchy attack and articulate sustain. Its 35" scale length ensures tight, defined response across the extended range, while custom-voiced Aguilar DCB pickups and an OBP-2 preamp deliver a broad tonal palette suited for any style. With premium tonewoods, refined ergonomics and stage-ready electronics, the NS-5 Bolt-On is built for bassists who demand both authority and versatility. Contoured Alder Body Designed for Enhanced Player Comfort The NS-5 Bolt-On begins with Spector’s iconic curved body design, carved from alder for a perfect balance of resonance and focus. The sculpted contours are designed for exceptional comfort, allowing the bass to sit naturally against the player’s body during long sessions and live sets. The Black Cherry and Black Stain finishes showcase a quilted maple top that adds extra brightness and visual flair. Together, these tonewoods provide a foundation that’s both muscular and musical, ensuring the NS-5 retains the signature growl and clarity Spector players have come to expect in any performance setting. 35" Scale Rock Maple Neck for Extended-Range Clarity the NS-5's three-piece rock maple neck is bolted securely to the body, maximizing note definition and attack while giving the instrument a snappy response. The extended 35" scale length ensures the low B string stays tight and articulate, even under aggressive playing styles or dropped tunings. A rosewood fingerboard offers smooth playability, accented by Spector’s trademark crown inlays for unmistakable style. With 24 jumbo frets and a comfortable 15.75" radius, the NS-5 Bolt-On feels equally at home laying down grooves or executing technical passages with precision and ease. Aguilar DCB Pickups and OBP-2 Preamp for Versatile Tone At the heart of the NS-5’s powerful sound are custom-voiced Aguilar DCB pickups, chosen for their ability to deliver clarity, punch and dynamic response across the full frequency range. Paired with the OBP-2 active preamp, the electronics provide a wide sweep of tonal control, from deep, authoritative lows to biting highs that cut through a mix. With volume, blend, treble and bass controls onboard, players can quickly dial in sounds that suit everything from modern metal to classic funk. This professional-grade electronics package ensures the NS-5 is ready for both studio detail and live stage presence. Gold Hardware for Stability and Style The NS-5 Bolt-On is fitted with premium gold hardware that delivers both function and flair. A brass nut enhances sustain and tonal clarity, while the fully intonating locking die-cast bridge ensures precise tuning stability and accurate pitch across the fingerboard. Sealed die-cast tuners provide smooth, reliable performance, letting players focus on their music rather than constant adjustments. Beyond performance, the polished gold appointments complement the instrument’s elegant array of finishes, giving the bass a stage-ready aesthetic worthy of its sonic power. A Bold Evolution of the Spector NS Legacy The Spector Icon NS-5 Bolt-On 5-string electric bass carries forward the hallmarks of Spector’s legendary NS series while offering modern updates tailored to the needs of extended-range players. Its sleekly sculpted alder body, carefully voiced electronics and refined appointments create an instrument that feels both familiar and forward-looking. Whether laying down deep grooves, exploring extended techniques or commanding the stage, the NS-5 Bolt-On is built to deliver uncompromising performance. For players ready to embrace the full scope of their low-end potential, this bass is a fitting continuation of Spector’s nearly 50-year tradition of innovation and excellence.
