Detail 01
Solid wood construction
The top, back, and sides are solid wood: select spruce on top and well-flamed maple on the back and sides.

Independent shopping perspective
Built as a professional viola outfit for advancing players, the 15-inch SR72 combines a solid select-spruce top with solid, well-flamed maple back and sides. Its red-brown oil varnish is applied by hand, and each instrument is hand-adjusted in the Scherl & Roth USA workshop before being supplied with Thomastik Dominant strings. The outfit also pairs the viola with a Brazilwood bow and lightweight wood-shell case, keeping the core playing and carrying pieces together.
