Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Roland’s V-Stage 88 places acoustic piano, electric piano, organ, and synth parts in separate sound engines, with dedicated panel areas for hands-on adjustment. Its weighted 88-key waterfall action combines escapement, hammer action, and Ivory Feel keys. Onstage, the color LCD and clearly marked controls keep changes direct, while Scenes save complete setups and Scene Chains organize recalls. XLR and 1/4-inch outputs, subouts, USB audio/MIDI, and pedal connections support stage rigs and recording setups.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Players moving through stored keyboard setups across a live set using Scene Chains onstage.
- Stage and recording rigs using balanced outputs, subouts, or USB audio/MIDI connections.
Consider the trade-offs
When to look elsewhere
- Players seeking an unweighted keybed; this model has 88 weighted waterfall keys.
