02Do I still need muffling inside the drum?
The built-in ring handles a lot of the overtones. Many drummers use little or no internal muffling with it. Add a small pillow if you want more attack.
03Can I cut a hole in it for a mic?
Yes. Many drummers cut an offset port. Use a proper hole cutter or a heated can, and a port ring keeps the edge from tearing.
04Will this fit a 24-inch bass drum?
No. This is 26 inch and must match your shell diameter. A 24-inch drum needs a 24-inch head.
