It is cut to P-style width, which is wider than a Jazz nut. On a Jazz neck it will overhang the fretboard and need sanding down to fit.
02Does it work with flatwounds?
Yes for standard flatwound gauges. Flats often measure slightly larger than roundwounds of the same gauge, so a slot may need light opening.
03Do I have to glue it in?
A small drop is enough. String tension holds a bass nut firmly, and too much glue makes future removal risky.
04How do I remove the old nut?
Score the finish along both sides first, then tap it sideways out of the slot. Clean the slot floor before seating the new one.
