PearlPrimal Collective Copper Snare Drum - 13 x 7 in.

The Pearl Primal Collective copper snare drum delivers a weighty and musical feel that sets it apart from brighter metal snares. Part of Pearl’s Primal Snare Collective, this model features a 1 mm beaded copper shell that produces warmth, depth and a naturally expressive response. The focused 13x7" configuration adds body and a punchy crack that stays clear when played with authority, while the overall design keeps the sound open and responsive rather than overly controlled. Built as a straightforward performance instrument, the Primal Collective copper snare drum is made to handle full-force playing while letting the copper shell’s character define the sound. Copper Shell Construction With a Deep, Expressive Voice The Primal Collective copper snare drum is built around a 1 mm beaded copper shell, paired with 2.3 mm triple-flanged hoops to balance openness and control. Dual-tension lugs help maintain stable tuning, while the smooth snare strainer supports consistent operation during extended playing sessions. Together, these elements allow the copper shell’s naturally deep and expressive character to come through clearly, producing a response that remains musical and manageable as dynamics shift. Focused Sizes to Match Playing Style The Pearl Primal Collective copper snare drum is available in four sizes: 13x7", 14x5.5", 14x6.5" and 14x8". Each option uses the same copper shell construction and hardware design while offering a different balance of depth, projection and response. This range gives drummers flexibility to fine-tune feel and output without losing the snare’s core copper character across different setups.
