Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Launchkey 61 MK4 puts a five-octave semi-weighted keyboard alongside direct DAW and MIDI control. Its nine faders, eight endless encoders, transport controls and OLED display keep mixer, device and session functions close at hand in supported DAWs. Sixteen polyphonic-aftertouch pads cover clip launching and instrument triggering, while the onboard Scale, Chord and arpeggiator tools provide ways to develop parts from the keyboard. Split and Layer modes extend it to multi-instrument MIDI setups.
Strong match

- Building arrangements with hands-on transport, mixer, device and clip control in supported DAWs.
- Playing two-handed keyboard parts while retaining faders, encoders and performance pads nearby.
