Detail 01
Drive control
The early part of its sweep blends in the clean guitar signal as the drive is introduced.

Independent shopping perspective
MXR’s Fat Sugar Drive moves from a boosted clean signal into overdrive through its distinctive Drive control, which retains some clean signal at the beginning of the control’s range. A voltage doubler adds headroom while preserving the guitar’s character, giving the pedal room for clear, transparent drive sounds as well as heavier distortion. It leaves the factory in true-bypass mode, with an internal option for buffered bypass. The pink sparkle enclosure gives a pedalboard a conspicuous visual accent.
