Strong match

Who this is for

  • Guitars with a side-mounted jack where a straight plug sticks out
  • Reaching a pedalboard or amp across a stage or rehearsal room
  • Keeping a spare in the case as backup

Consider the trade-offs

When to look elsewhere

  • Players wanting a low-capacitance cable that keeps top end over long runs
  • Short patch runs between pedals — 20 ft is far too much
  • Microphones or speakers — this is an unbalanced instrument cable only

What matters in use

The specifications, translated

Catalog numbers tell only part of the story. These are the details most likely to change how this product feels, sounds, or fits into a setup.

Detail 01

20 ft length

Enough to move around a stage. Longer unbalanced cable rolls off some high end versus a 10 ft run.

Detail 02

Right-angle plug on one end

Sits flush against a guitar with a side jack, so the cable does not get bent or kicked.

Detail 03

1/4" unbalanced instrument cable

For guitar, bass and keyboards into amps and pedals. Not for mic lines or speaker cabinets.

Detail 04

Red tweed jacket

Easy to spot your cable in a pile at the end of a gig, and it stays visible on a dark stage.

Final check

Know before you order

  1. 01Check which end you want angled — the other end is a straight plug
  2. 02Right-angle plugs can be tight in recessed jack cups like a Les Paul
  3. 03One cable only; no extras, no pedalboard patch cables included

Product questions

Before you decide

Straight answers to the questions shoppers most often ask about this product.

01Can I use this cable for a microphone?

No. This is an unbalanced 1/4" instrument cable. Microphones need a balanced XLR cable, or a 1/4" mic cable for some older mics.

02Which end is the right angle?

One end is a right angle and the other is straight. Plug the angled end into the instrument and the straight end into your amp or pedalboard.

03Is 20 feet too long for a bedroom?

It works, but you will have slack to coil. If you are sitting a few feet from your amp, a shorter cable is tidier and keeps a bit more high end.

04Will this work with a bass or keyboard?

Yes. Any instrument with a 1/4" output — bass, keyboard, acoustic with a pickup — uses the same cable.
