If the turntable has RCA outputs and your preamp or mixer has RCA inputs, yes. Turntables still need a phono preamp stage somewhere in the chain.
02Is 12 feet too long for RCA?
It works, but RCA is unbalanced, so longer runs are more prone to picking up hum. Route it away from power cables and use the shortest length that reaches.
03Can I convert this to 1/4" or XLR?
Adapters exist, but going from unbalanced RCA to a balanced input does not make the signal balanced. Better to use a cable built for the connection you need.
04What is the difference from a cheap RCA cable?
