If you currently play 3 or 3.5 comfortably, yes. Jumping a full strength usually costs tone and endurance. Move up half a step at a time.
02How many reeds are in the box?
Ten.
03Will these work on bass clarinet?
No. These are cut for Bb soprano clarinet. Bass clarinet reeds are larger and will not seat correctly.
04Will every reed in the box play well?
No box is uniform. Expect some to play right away, some to need break-in, and a few to never settle. That is normal for reeds.
