01What reed strength works with a 7 tip opening?
Most players drop about half a strength from what they used on a narrower stock mouthpiece. If you played 3, try 2.5 first and adjust from there.
02Will my current ligature fit?
Not guaranteed. Ligatures are sized to the mouthpiece blank, so a metal-mouthpiece ligature or an odd-shaped one may be too tight or too loose.
03Is this good for concert band or classical playing?
It leans jazz. The large chamber spreads the tone, which is usually the opposite of what classical alto repertoire and section blend call for.
04Does it fit a tenor sax?
No. This is an alto mouthpiece and the shank diameter is different. It will not seal on a tenor neck.
