Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Martin’s O’ahu K-42 Hibiscus is a limited run of 100 right-handed acoustics built around the deep Kealakai-derived K body, specified here as K-12 fret with a 14-fret neck. A reclaimed Sitka spruce top joins figured koa back and sides, with Adirondack spruce VTS Golden Era scalloped X-bracing beneath it. The result is designed for expansive resonance, focused projection, and clear note separation. Its GE Modified Low Oval mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard, hibiscus inlay, and refined appointments make it a distinctive player’s instrument with collector-level presentation. A hardshell case is included.
