Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Martin’s right-handed DE Retro Plus Granadillo brings a torrefied solid-spruce top, solid granadillo back and sides, and scalloped spruce X-bracing to a D-14-fret dreadnought. Its construction is voiced for projection, sustain, depth, and clarity, responding to both light fingerstyle passages and forceful strumming. The Performing Artist neck uses a High-Performance Taper with an ebony fingerboard, while LR Baggs Element electronics provide onboard volume and tone adjustment when amplification is required. A soft case is included.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Acoustic performances requiring onboard volume and tone adjustment through LR Baggs Element electronics.
- Moving between light fingerstyle passages and more forceful strumming on a full-scale dreadnought.
Consider the trade-offs
