Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
The jumbo format gives this Custom Shop acoustic its large-bodied platform, pairing a certified European high altitude spruce top with AAA Pacific big leaf flamed maple back and sides. Forward-shifted X-bracing and Adirondack spruce braces are part of a build described as clear, resonant, responsive, and sustaining. A satin-finished flame-maple modified low oval neck meets an ebony fingerboard, while Grover nickel machines, liquid metal bone pins with paua, and a hardshell case round out the instrument.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Solo performance and recording situations that call for the jumbo body's strong projection and clarity.
- Dynamic picking and strumming where forward-shifted X-bracing supports fast top response.
- Band arrangements where the source describes bright, defined notes that cut through.
