Independent shopping perspective
The Korena take
Designed as a dreadnought, this Custom Shop 18 Style model combines an Adirondack spruce top with premium flamed mahogany back and sides. The forward-shifted X-brace uses Adirondack spruce and is described as providing a loud, articulate response with tight bass, bright highs, and broad dynamics. Its select-hardwood modified low oval neck has a satin finish, while an ebony fingerboard, bone nut and saddle, Grover nickel tuners, and a hardshell case support the complete working setup.
Strong match
Who this is for
- Band practice or solo performance where the dreadnought's loud, clear projection is useful.
- Heavy strumming and subtle fingerpicking across the source-described wide dynamic range.
- Recording parts that need an articulate acoustic response with defined bass and highs.
