01Does a plastic ligature sound worse than metal?
It's a different feel more than a worse one. Plastic holds the reed with a slightly softer grip; many players won't hear a meaningful difference in a section.
02Will this fit my bass clarinet?
No. This is sized for Bb soprano clarinet mouthpieces. Bass clarinet mouthpieces are substantially larger and need a bass-specific ligature.
03Does it come with a mouthpiece cap?
No, the ligature is sold on its own. Keep your current cap and check it still slides over this band without forcing.
04How tight should I make the screw?
Just enough that the reed doesn't shift when you push on it. Overtightening chokes the reed's vibration and can strip the plastic threads.
