LudwigClassic Maple Fab 3-Piece Shell Pack With 22" Bass Drum - Classic Olive Pearl

Anchored in one of Ludwig’s most time-honored configurations, the Classic Maple Fab 3-piece shell pack blends vintage-inspired layout with modern build precision. Crafted in the United States, this classic setup includes a 22x14" bass drum, 13x9" rack tom and 16x16" floor tom, all constructed from 7-ply North American maple shells formed to a 6 mm thickness. Built using Ludwig’s RFST Radio Frequency Shell Technology molding process, the shells cure evenly for increased stability and consistency. Precision 45-degree bearing edges support quick response, clear articulation and a wide tuning range, making this configuration equally suited for studio tracking and live performance. 7-Ply Maple Shells With a Familiar, Musical Response Ludwig’s Classic Maple shells are known for their balanced tonal profile and intuitive feel. The 7-ply maple construction delivers warm low-end support with focused mids and open highs, while the 6 mm shell thickness keeps the drums lively and responsive under the sticks. Clean 45-degree bearing edges allow heads to seat evenly, encouraging clear note definition and smooth decay across a wide range of tunings. The result is a shell pack that responds naturally to the player, adapting easily to different styles without imposing a fixed voice. Traditional Hardware and Finish Options That Honor Ludwig’s Legacy Steel hardware and triple-flange hoops provide open resonance and dependable tuning stability, supporting the Classic Maple shell’s natural response. Branded heads complete the package with a familiar feel right out of the box. The Classic Maple Fab 3-piece shell pack is offered in a range of Ludwig finishes, including Hybrid Sparkle variants, allowing players to choose a visual identity that suits their setup while preserving the unmistakable Classic Maple sound that has defined Ludwig kits for decades.
