Lace Sensor Red-Red Dually Humbucker Pickup Black

Independent shopping perspective

The Korena take

A high-output bridge humbucker built from two Lace Sensor Red coils in black. For players who want thicker, louder bridge tone than a single coil gives.

Strong match

Who this is for

  • Adding output and thickness to a thin-sounding bridge position
  • Higher-gain playing where a single coil sounds spiky
  • Guitars with an existing humbucker route in the bridge

Consider the trade-offs

When to look elsewhere

  • Players after clear, glassy, vintage single-coil chime
  • Neck-position swaps — this is voiced for the bridge
  • Anyone wanting the whole guitar changed; this is one pickup

What matters in use

The specifications, translated

Catalog numbers tell only part of the story. These are the details most likely to change how this product feels, sounds, or fits into a setup.

Detail 01

14.5k resistance

High output for a guitar pickup. Hits the amp's front end harder and breaks into overdrive at lower volume settings.

Detail 02

1850 Hz peak frequency

Resonant peak sits low, in the midrange. Thicker and rounder than a bright single coil, with less top-end bite.

Detail 03

8.12 henries inductance

High inductance rolls off treble naturally. Explains the fat, dark character rather than a cutting, trebly one.

Detail 04

Bridge position

Voiced specifically for the bridge, where strings are stiffer and output naturally lower. Putting it at the neck gives a muddy result.

Detail 05

Dually two-coil design

Two Red sensors side by side in one unit, which is where the extra output and humbucker-style thickness come from.

Detail 06

Black cover

Reads as standard black hardware. Sits fine against black or white pickguards; against cream parts it's a deliberate contrast.

Final check

Know before you order

  1. 01Confirm your bridge cavity is routed for a humbucker before ordering
  2. 02Soldering required at the volume pot, switch and ground
  3. 03Mounting ring or pickguard cutout is a separate purchase if yours doesn't fit

Product questions

Before you decide

Straight answers to the questions shoppers most often ask about this product.

01Will this fit a Strat's bridge slot?

Only if the guitar is routed for a humbucker at the bridge, or you fit a pickguard with a humbucker cutout. Standard single-coil routing won't take it.

02Is it noisy like a single coil?

It's a two-coil humbucker design, which is inherently quieter than a single coil under lights and near screens.

03How does it compare to the Gold single coils?

Much hotter and darker. 14.5k versus 5.8k resistance, and a 1850 Hz peak versus 3,600 Hz, so it trades presence for output and midrange weight.

04Can I use it in the neck position?

Not recommended. It's voiced for the bridge, and the high output and low resonant peak get muddy at the neck where strings move more.
